Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Simple zip manager

Is a simple CLI tool to compress and extract files.

Installation

npm install -g @danixl30/zipcli

Usage

Extract

You can extract ZIP, RAR, 7z and tar.gz files. If the file don't specify the extension you can choose one of these extractors.

To extract file use.

zipm eextract --file {FILE_PATH} --password {PASSWORD_OPTIONAL} --out {OUTPUTDIR_OPTIONAL}

--password or -p Is for password it's optional.

--out or -o Is for alternative output dir it's optional for default use the working directory.

--file or -f Pass the name of the file to extract

Compress

You can compress dir to ZIP, RAR and 7z file. These script will compress all files at directory.

To compress file use.

zipm ccompress --path {DIR_PATH_OPTIONAL} --type {COMPRESSION_TYPE_OPTIONAL} --out {OUTDIR_OPTIONAL}

--path or -p You can specify custom path to compress. If you don't specify the path will use working directory.

--out or -o Is for alternative output dir it's optional for default use the working directory.

--type or -t You can specify which type of file do you want like ZIP, RAR or 7z. If you don't pass the program will ask you.
