Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

A fast, opinionated CLI to scaffold a modern frontend React project with zero configuration.

Usage

Run the following command in your terminal. You will be prompted for a project name and your preferred package manager (npm, pnpm, yarn).

npx @danixsoft/create-danix-app@latest

Alternatively, you can pass the project name directly:

npx @danixsoft/create-danix-app@latest my-app

Interactive Prompts: Clean CLI UX using @clack/prompts.
Zero Config: Absolute imports (@/*), ESLint, and TypeScript are pre-configured.
Smart Scaffolding: Conditionally injects React Router and TanStack Query providers into your main.tsx only if you ask for them.
Opinionated Folder Structure: Automatically sets up src/components, src/hooks, src/lib, and src/styles directories.
Ready to Code: Automatically initializes a git repository and installs dependencies for you.

Development

If you want to run this CLI locally:

npm install
npm start my-test-app

To run the automated test suite:

npm test
