Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Datadash Polymarket MCP server

Polymarket analytics for AI assistants. This package connects any MCP client that launches a local command (Claude Desktop, Windsurf, Cline, Zed and others) to the hosted Datadash MCP server, so your assistant can answer questions about Polymarket traders, Smart Money, Signals, positions and market holders with live data.

Website: datadash.xyz/mcp · Docs: docs.datadash.xyz/mcp-server

What your assistant can do with it

  • Rank Polymarket wallets by realized PnL, volume, win rate or ROI, overall or per category
  • See which side Smart Money holds on an event, and which markets carry the biggest Smart Money edge
  • Find unusually sized bets through Signals scores
  • Pull a wallet's open and closed positions, PnL and trade history
  • List a market's holders, current and exited
  • Create cohorts of wallets and ask what they are holding

The tools come from the hosted server, so they stay current without updating this package.

Requirements

Setup

Add the server to your client's MCP configuration. For Claude Desktop, that is claude_desktop_config.json:

{
    "mcpServers": {
        "datadash": {
            "command": "npx",
            "args": ["-y", "@datadashxyz/mcp"],
            "env": {
                "DATADASH_API_KEY": "<your-api-key-here>"
            }
        }
    }
}

Other clients take the same command, args and env. Restart the client and datadash appears in its list of MCP servers.

Clients that speak Streamable HTTP, such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and VS Code, do not need this package: point them straight at https://api.datadash.xyz/mcp with your key in the X-Api-Key header. The setup guide has a configuration for each.

Environment

| Variable | Required | Description | | ------------------ | -------- | ---------------------------------------------------------- | | DATADASH_API_KEY | Yes | Your Datadash API key | | DATADASH_MCP_URL | No | Server address. Defaults to https://api.datadash.xyz/mcp |

Try these first

  • Who are the top 10 wallets by realized PnL in crypto markets?
  • What is smart money positioned on in the biggest active politics markets?
  • Which markets resolving in the next 30 days have the biggest smart money edge among the top 1,000 traders?
  • Build a cohort of wallets with over $100k in volume and a win rate above 60%, then tell me what they are holding.

Your key

The key can do anything your Datadash account can, including creating and deleting your cohorts. Create a separate key for each MCP client so you can revoke it on its own. The server cannot place trades.
