Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

@dcl/abgen

Prebuilt binaries for abgen: the standalone Decentraland asset-bundle converter + ab-cdn-compatible JIT server. Installing this package pulls the binary for your platform through an optionalDependency:

Each platform package carries just the binary: the template/ and shader/ runtime assets are compiled into it, so there is no configuration and nothing to place beside it. The binaries are the same reproducible artifacts attached to the GitHub release of the matching tag.

Run the server

All configuration is environment variables - see the repository README.

Embed in a tool

const { binPath } = require('@dcl/abgen')
// spawn binPath() with the ABGEN_* environment you need

binPath() returns the absolute path of the platform binary, and throws with an actionable message on unsupported platforms or when the optional platform package was omitted at install time. @dcl/sdk-commands uses this to boot the asset-bundle preview sidecar.
