Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Dclare MCP Server

Talk to your Dcluttr data using natural language — powered by Claude.

Setup Guide (Claude Code)

Step 1: Install Node.js

You need Node.js version 20 or later.

  1. Go to https://nodejs.org
  2. Download the LTS version (the big green button)
  3. Open the downloaded file and follow the installer prompts
  4. Once done, open your Terminal app and run:
node --version

You should see something like v20.x.x or higher. If you see an error, restart your Terminal and try again.

Step 2: Install Claude Code

  1. Open Terminal
  2. Run:
npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code
  1. After it finishes, launch Claude Code by running:
claude
  1. It will ask you to log in to your Anthropic account — follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 3: Add the Dclare MCP Server

In your Terminal, run this single command:

claude mcp add-json dclare-mcp '{"type":"stdio","command":"npx","args":["-y","@dcluttr/dclare-mcp@latest"],"allowedTools":["mcp__dclare-mcp__*"]}'

This registers the MCP server and pre-approves all its tools so Claude won't ask for permission each time.

Step 4: Start using it

  1. Open Terminal and run:
claude
  1. First, log in to your Dcluttr account by typing:
Log me in to Dcluttr with email: [email protected] and password: yourpassword
  1. Once logged in, you can ask questions about your data in plain English:
What were my top 10 SKUs on Blinkit last week by sales?
Show me city-wise sales for the last 30 days
Compare my ad spend vs revenue on Zepto this month

Troubleshooting

| Problem | Fix | |---|---| | node: command not found | Restart your Terminal after installing Node.js. If still broken, reinstall Node.js from https://nodejs.org. | | claude: command not found | Run npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code again. | | "Not logged in" errors when querying data | Say Log me in to Dcluttr and provide your email and password. | | MCP server not showing up | Run claude mcp list to check. If missing, re-run the Step 3 command. |
