Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

PPTX / DOCX to HTML converter (Free / Licensed / Cloud)

Readme

@deckflow/deck2html

npm version License: Proprietary

PPTX / DOCX → HTML converter (proprietary). One package; Free vs Licensed is selected by a signed .lic at runtime, or use Cloud for remote conversion.

Product modes

| Mode | How | Behavior | | --- | --- | --- | | auto (default) | Omit --mode, or --mode auto | Valid local .lic → same as license; otherwise free | | free | --mode free | Force Free local (Community degradations) | | license | --mode license (requires valid .lic) | Full local engine (alias: licensed) | | cloud | --mode cloud | Remote Licensed conversion via DeckFlow Cloud |

Install

npm install @deckflow/deck2html

Do not omit optional dependencies (--omit=optional / --no-optional); the native binary lives in a platform package such as @deckflow/deck2html-darwin-arm64.

Usage

# Free local (Community degradations when no valid license)
npx deck2html deck.pptx -o ./out

# Licensed local
npx deck2html deck.pptx -o ./out --license ~/.deckflow/deck2html.lic
# defaults also accept ~/.deckflow/deckuse.lic (first valid wins)
# or: export DECK2HTML_LICENSE=~/.deckflow/deck2html.lic

# Force Free even with a valid license
npx deck2html deck.pptx -o ./out --mode free

# Require Licensed local
npx deck2html deck.pptx -o ./out --mode license

# Cloud (full fidelity via remote Licensed worker)
npx deck2html deck.pptx -o ./out --mode cloud

# Auth for higher cloud quota (shares ~/.deckflow/credentials with html2deck)
npx deck2html auth login
export DECK2HTML_API_KEY=…
const { getBinaryPath } = require('@deckflow/deck2html');
const { spawnSync } = require('child_process');
spawnSync(getBinaryPath(), ['deck.pptx', '-o', './out'], { stdio: 'inherit' });

| Flag / env | Meaning | |---|---| | --license <path> | Optional .lic → Licensed when valid (unless --mode free) | | DECK2HTML_LICENSE | License path env | | --mode auto\|free\|license\|cloud | Default auto from certificate. cloud = remote convert; free forces Free; license requires a valid .lic (alias: licensed) | | DECK2HTML_API_KEY | Cloud API key (optional; guest mode otherwise) | | DECK2HTML_CONFIG_DIR | Credentials dir (default ~/.deckflow) | | --check-license | JSON probe; exit 0 if valid (machineBound / machineId when bound) | | fingerprint | Print 64-char hex machine id for optional single-machine .lic binding |

Machine binding is optional when the .lic is issued (via @deckflow/deck-secure). Portable licenses omit it.

Platform packages

| Package | OS | Arch | |---|---|---| | @deckflow/deck2html-darwin-arm64 | macOS | arm64 | | @deckflow/deck2html-darwin-x64 | macOS | x64 | | @deckflow/deck2html-linux-x64 | Linux | x64 | | @deckflow/deck2html-win32-x64 | Windows | x64 |

License

Proprietary. See LICENSE. Free mode may be used under the limited terms in that file; full local features require a DeckFlow-issued .lic; Cloud mode is governed by DeckFlow Cloud terms.
