Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

@devcodes-sdk/mongo-clone is a powerful CLI tool that simplifies cloning MongoDB databases. With a single command, you can easily replicate collections and documents across databases, making data migration and replication seamless.

Installation 🔧

You can run the tool directly using npx (no installation required):

npx mongo-clone

npm install -g @devcodes-sdk/mongo-clone

Usage 👨🏻‍💻

The tool requires the source and destination MongoDB URIs. Here's the command structure:

npx mongo-clone -s <SOURCE_MONGO_DB_URL> -d <DEST_MONGO_DB_URL>

MongoDB URI Format 🍃

The MongoDB URI format is as follows:

<database> - The name of the database is required.

mongodb://<username>:<password>@<host>:<port>/<database>

Notes 📝

Replace username, password, host, port and database with your actual database credentials and details.

Ensure that both the source and destination databases are accessible.
