Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

🚀 Quick Start (In 3 Minutes)

1. Install Dependencies

npm install

2. Configure Environment Variables

Copy .env.example to .env.local:

cp .env.example .env.local

3. Initialize & Seed Database

npx prisma generate
npx prisma db push
npm run db:seed

4. Start Development Server

npm run dev

Open http://localhost:3000 in your browser.


💳 Local Webhook Testing

Testing Stripe Webhooks Locally:

  1. Install Stripe CLI.
  2. Forward events:
    stripe listen --forward-to localhost:3000/api/webhooks/stripe
  3. Copy the signing secret (whsec_...) into .env.local as STRIPE_WEBHOOK_SECRET.

Testing Polar Webhooks Locally:

  1. Point your webhook URL to http://localhost:3000/api/webhooks/polar via tunnel or Polar Sandbox.
  2. Set POLAR_WEBHOOK_SECRET in .env.local.
