Opsdeck

Opsdeck compares Kustomize image tags across GitOps environments and lets you promote selected groups in an interactive terminal. It changes local files only—never pushes or opens a pull request.

Install

The 0.1.0-alpha.1 prerelease runs on Linux x64 with glibc. Git is required; promotion also requires kustomize. The installed CLI needs neither Bun nor Node.

Pin the prerelease version as shown; an unqualified install does not select the alpha tag.

Use

Run inside a GitOps worktree with opsdeck.config.json or opsdeck.config.yaml at its root. The existing version-1 configuration schema is supported. Use --config PATH for another config inside the worktree, or --source ID and --target ID to override configured defaults.

In the TUI, use arrows to navigate, Space to select changed groups, Enter to review, and O to open an available comparison or repository link. After showing the complete patch, Opsdeck requires the literal yes to apply it and then asks whether to Commit or Skip. It validates target Kustomizations with kustomize build and restores the original files if validation fails. It never pushes.

Promotion requires a TTY, a tracked worktree clean except for the selected config, and a branch whose fetched upstream is an ancestor of HEAD. A stale promotion lock is not removed automatically: verify that no promotion is running before manually removing the reported lock directory.
