What is Do It Together?

Do It Together (DIT) is a curated catalog of canonical paths—verified problem→solution patterns extracted from real CLI sessions, git histories, research papers, and documentation.

Instead of searching Stack Overflow or asking "how do I...?", your AI assistant can look up proven paths that actually work.

Installation

Quick Start (npx)

npx @doittogether/mcp-server

Global Install

npm install -g @doittogether/mcp-server
dit-mcp-server

Configuration

Claude Desktop

Add to ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json (macOS) or %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json (Windows):

Claude Code

Run this command to add the MCP server:

claude mcp add --transport stdio dit -- npx -y @doittogether/mcp-server

Restart Claude Code, then verify with /mcp.

Example Usage

Once configured, ask Claude:

"What paths do you have for reducing cloud costs?"

Claude will use the MCP tools to search the catalog and return verified strategies.
