@dossier-wiki/fingerprint-browser
Part of dossiers-fingerprint — a cookieless browser & device fingerprinting service that resolves a stable
visitorId. See the repository root for the full architecture and the identify pipeline.
The browser-side agent. It collects device/browser signals and posts them to a
/v1/identify endpoint, resolving to a stable visitorId.
Install
npm install @dossier-wiki/fingerprint-browserOr drop the prebuilt global bundle (dist/agent.global.js) in with a <script> tag.
Usage
import { load } from '@dossier-wiki/fingerprint-browser';
const fp = load({ endpoint: 'https://your-api.example.com/v1/identify' });
const { visitorId, visitorFound, visitCount } = await fp.identify();| API | Description |
| --- | --- |
| load(options?) | Create a client. options.endpoint defaults to http://localhost:3000/v1/identify. |
| client.identify() | Collect signals, POST to the endpoint, resolve to an IdentifyResult. |
| client.collect() | Collect signals only — no network (handy for debugging). |
| collectSignals() | The underlying collector, exported directly. |
