Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

@dottedice/trust-anchor-resolver

Certificate trust path builder and anchor resolver. Validates intermediate certificate chains, parses distinguished name metadata, and verifies leaf signers against trusted Root CA Stores (AATL / eIDAS / CCA India).

Installation

npm install @dottedice/trust-anchor-resolver

API Reference

extractCertMetadata(certDer)

Parses subject and issuer CommonName details from DER bytes.

  • certDer (Uint8Array): Certificate DER bytes.

verifyTrustAnchor(leafCertDer, intermediates, rootStore)

Reconstructs certificate path and returns trust state.

  • leafCertDer (Uint8Array): Leaf certificate.
  • intermediates (Array<Uint8Array>): Intermediate CAs.
  • rootStore (Array<Uint8Array>): Trusted Root CA anchors.
  • Returns { trusted: boolean, reason: string, path: Array<Object> }.
