Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@dropfix/sdk

The DropFix browser SDK — auto-instruments your SaaS to track user events, build an event model with AI, and detect churn signals before users leave.

Quick start

Step 1. Sign up at dropfix.in and copy your public key (pk_live_...)

Step 2. Drop the SDK into your app. Pick one:

Script tag (any framework)

<script src="https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/@dropfix/sdk/dist/dropfix.js"></script>
<script>
  DropFix.init({ key: "pk_live_YOUR_KEY" });
</script>

npm / yarn / pnpm

npm install @dropfix/sdk
import { DropFix } from "@dropfix/sdk";

DropFix.init({ key: "pk_live_YOUR_KEY" });

That's it. DropFix now auto-tracks every click, form submission, page view, and API call in your app.

Identify your users

Tie events to real users so DropFix can detect churn signals on a per-user basis:

DropFix.identify("user_123", {
  name: "Jane Doe",
  email: "[email protected]",
  plan: "growth",
  mrr: 49,
  signup_date: "2025-06-01",
  trial_ends: "2025-06-22"
});

Important: call identify() on every page load (e.g. in your root layout or auth provider), not just on login. This ensures returning users are recognized without re-logging in.

For server-side HMAC verification (recommended for production), see the identity verification docs.

Track custom events

DropFix auto-tracks most things, but you can also send custom events:

DropFix.track("checkout_completed", {
  plan: "growth",
  mrr: 49,
  trial: false
});

What gets tracked automatically

  • Every click on a button / link (with smart context: button text, nearby heading, surrounding component)
  • Every form submission
  • Page views (including SPA route changes)
  • API calls your app makes (URL, status, duration)
  • Session duration and engagement signals

Versioning

The CDN URL https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/@dropfix/sdk/dist/dropfix.js always serves the latest stable version. We guarantee backward compatibility — you'll never need to update your snippet.

Bundle size

~4 KB gzipped. Loaded async, doesn't block page render.
