Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

DropReply CLI

Command-line interface for DropReply — publish replies and upvotes on Reddit & X from your terminal.

Installation

npm install -g dropreply-cli

Requires Node.js 18+.

Authentication

Set your API key as an environment variable:

export DROPREPLY_API_KEY=drpl_live_sk_your_key_here

Commands

dropreply reply

Submit a reply for publishing.

dropreply reply --platform reddit --url "https://www.reddit.com/r/startup/comments/abc123/..." --content "Great post! We had a similar experience..."

# Schedule for later (Growth/Scale plans only)
dropreply reply --platform reddit --url "https://..." --content "..." --schedule-at "2026-03-25T14:00:00Z"

Options:

  • --platform (required) — reddit or twitter
  • --url (required) — Target post URL
  • --content (required) — Reply text (10-2000 characters)
  • --schedule-at — ISO 8601 datetime to schedule publishing (Growth/Scale only, up to 30 days ahead)

Check the status of a reply.

List your replies with optional filters.

# List all replies
dropreply replies

# Filter by platform and status
dropreply replies --platform reddit --status published --limit 10

# Paginate
dropreply replies --limit 20 --offset 40

Options:

  • --platform — Filter by reddit or twitter
  • --status — Filter by queued, scheduled, publishing, published, failed, or rejected
  • --limit — Results per page (default: 20, max: 100)
  • --offset — Pagination offset

Submit an upvote/like.

dropreply upvote --platform reddit --url "https://www.reddit.com/r/startup/comments/abc123/..."

Options:

  • --platform (required) — reddit or twitter
  • --url (required) — Target URL to upvote
