Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

MCP shim for connecting Claude Desktop to hosted MCP servers (easymcp.net)

Readme

EasyMCP

The simplest way to connect Claude Desktop and Cursor to external tools and services using MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers.

What is EasyMCP?

EasyMCP is a turnkey solution that lets Claude Desktop and Cursor access external tools and APIs with zero configuration that you have to do.

Why Use EasyMCP?

  • Simple: One command to install, no client configuration required
  • Configurable: Choose the services and functions you want to use
  • Secure: Credentials stored securely in the cloud
  • Expandable: New tools and integrations added regularly
  • Reliable: Professionally maintained infrastructure

Getting Started

  1. Go to easymcp.net to get your token and pick your services
  2. Just add this config to Claude Desktop and/or Cursor:
{
    "mcpServers": {
      "EasyMCP.net": {
        "command": "npx",
        "args": ["@easymcp/easymcp"],
        "env": {
          "EASYMCP_TOKEN": "YOUR_TOKEN"
        }
      }
    }
}

That's it! Claude Desktop and Cursor will now have access to all services included in your plan.

Compatibility

EasyMCP works with systems that support the Model Context Protocol (MCP):

  • Claude Desktop: The official desktop application from Anthropic
  • Cursor: An AI-powered code editor with Claude integration

As more applications adopt MCP, EasyMCP will be compatible with them as well.

How It Works

EasyMCP acts as a bridge between Claude Desktop and our secure cloud infrastructure running several MCP servers. When Claude needs to use a tool, the request is securely forwarded to our servers where the actual processing happens.

Customizable Tool Access

EasyMCP gives you granular control over which tools Claude can access. For each third-party integration, you can:

  • Pick specific 3rd party services you want to integrate with
  • Enable only the specific functions you want to use
  • Control read/write permissions independently (e.g., allow reading emails but not sending them)
  • Manage authentication for each service separately
