Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

KuCoin data adapter for @efixdata/exeria-chart - real-time cryptocurrency price data

Readme

@efixdata/connector-kucoin

A data adapter for @efixdata/exeria-chart that provides real-time and historical cryptocurrency price data from KuCoin public Spot API.

Features

  • Historical OHLC data from KuCoin REST API (/api/v1/market/candles)
  • Real-time candle updates via KuCoin Classic WebSocket (/market/candles)
  • Public token bootstrap (/api/v1/bullet-public) with ping/pong heartbeat
  • Symbol helpers for BTC-USDT and compact BTCUSDT formats
  • REST polling fallback for 5m (not available on KuCoin WS kline channel)
  • No API key required for public market data

Installation

npm install @efixdata/connector-kucoin

Quick Start

import { Chart } from "@efixdata/exeria-chart";
import { KucoinAdapter } from "@efixdata/connector-kucoin";

const adapter = new KucoinAdapter();

const chart = new Chart({
  container: "#chart",
  dataAdapter: adapter,
});

await chart.loadData("BTC-USDT", {
  interval: "1d",
  limit: 500,
});

chart.subscribeToUpdates("BTC-USDT");

Configuration

const adapter = new KucoinAdapter({
  baseUrl: "https://api.kucoin.com",
  requestTimeout: 5000,
  maxRetries: 3,
  retryDelay: 1000,
  pageDelayMs: 300,
  pollingIntervalMs: 30000,
});

Supported Symbols

Use KuCoin spot format (BTC-USDT, ETH-USDT). The adapter also accepts compact symbols like BTCUSDT.

Supported Timeframes

1m, 3m, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1h, 2h, 4h, 6h, 8h, 12h, 1d, 1w

1M is not supported natively. Live WebSocket updates are unavailable for 5m; the adapter polls ticker REST instead.

API Reference

KucoinAdapter implements the DataAdapter interface from @efixdata/exeria-chart:

  • initialize(config)
  • getHistoricalData(symbol, options)
  • getCurrentPrice(symbol)
  • subscribeToUpdates(symbol, callback)
  • disconnect()

Limits

  • Up to 1500 candles per REST request
  • KuCoin returns [time, open, close, high, low, volume, amount] — mapped to standard OHLC internally
  • Public API rate limits apply; use pageDelayMs when paginating history
