@eidola/sidecar

Wrapper package for running Eidolon sidecar orchestration as a local process.

@eidola/sidecar owns CLI startup, HTTP shell, installer/process/fs wiring, and sidecar orchestration APIs. Runtime-core logic lives in @eidola/runtime-core.

Installation

npm install -g @eidola/sidecar

Or run directly:

npx @eidola/sidecar

Requires Node.js 18+.

CLI

eidolon-sidecar --port 9735

Key flags:

• --port <n>: HTTP port for sidecar endpoints and Shrine UI.
• --assets <path>: path to vessel pack assets.
• --shutdown-timeout <n>: inactivity timeout in minutes.
• --no-auto-shutdown: disable inactivity shutdown.

Programmatic Usage

import { createSidecar } from '@eidola/sidecar';

const sidecar = await createSidecar({ port: 9735 });
await sidecar.start();
const status = sidecar.getStatus();
await sidecar.stop();
