Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@energy-yar/ui

v1.2.0

Published

React UI kit for Energy Yar.

Readme

EnergyYar UI Kit

A React component library published to npm. It currently includes Button and Divider (the same Ant Design components, without custom styling). Add further components under src/components.

Install

pnpm add @energy-yar/ui

React must be installed in the consuming project (>=18).

Usage

import { Button, Divider } from "@energy-yar/ui";

export function Example() {
  return (
    <>
      <Button type="primary">Submit</Button>
      <Button>Cancel</Button>
      <Divider>or</Divider>
      <Button type="text" disabled>
        Disabled
      </Button>
    </>
  );
}

Button and Divider use the same API as Ant Design.

Local development

pnpm install
pnpm storybook

Storybook opens on port 6006 and uses the library source (src). Each component’s story lives next to that component (for example src/components/Button/Button.stories.tsx).

The playground is still available via pnpm dev; use it only for a quick consumer-style smoke test.

Build the npm output:

pnpm build

Output is written to dist/. Publishing to npm is handled by semantic-release: after a merge to main, the version is determined from Conventional Commits and the @energy-yar/ui package is published to the public npm registry.

| Commit message | Version | | -------------------------------- | ---------- | | fix: … | patch | | feat: … | minor | | feat!: … or BREAKING CHANGE: | major | | docs: / chore: / style: | no release |

Example: feat: add Divider component

These CI variables must be set as masked secrets:

  • NPM_TOKEN — Automation token from npmjs.org with publish rights for the @energy-yar scope (the package is published only to this registry)

Local preview without publishing:

pnpm release:dry

A real local publish (updates package.json version, writes CHANGELOG.md, tags, and publishes to npm):

pnpm release

The @energy-yar scope must exist on npm. With no previous tags, the first release will be 1.0.0.
