Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

ESET brand colors and design tokens for Tailwind CSS

ESET Tailwind CSS Configuration

Common Tailwind config containing ESET brand tokens and other useful configurations.

1. Install Tailwind 4

For Vite only projects Follow the official Tailwind CSS installation guide: Tailwind CSS with Vite

For Nuxt projects: Plugin import may be slightly different - check the Nuxt documentation for the latest setup.

2. Install codestyle and class sorting

⚠️ Automatic class sorting does not currently work with the tw: prefix used to avoid conflicts with other libraries (such as Bootstrap). This is a limitation in eslint-plugin-tailwindcss. Issue reference

We’re waiting for an upstream fix.

Install:

pnpm i @eset-gdd/code-styleguide-eslint-tailwind

Then add to your ESLint configuration:

module.exports = {
  root: true,
  extends: ["@eset-gdd/code-styleguide-eslint-tailwind"],
};

This should enable automatic class sorting.

Codestyle Troubleshooting

Return to this step after completing the installation if automatic class sorting doesn’t work.

  1. Make sure ESLint is set as your default formatter:

  2. Ctrl + Shift + P → Format Document With... → Configure Default Formatter → select ESLint.

  3. If ESLint isn’t listed, ensure you have the ESLint extension

If the extension is installed but ESlint is not listed as a formatter, or automatic class sorting still fails, check the ESLint server output:

  • Ctrl + Shift + P → ESLint: Show Output Channel.

If you see errors there, a fairly common cause is a version mismatch between your project’s ESLint and the installed codestyle package.

3. Install this package (tailwind configuration)

pnpm install @eset-gdd/tailwind-config

3. Replace your Tailwind import

During Tailwind installation, you created a CSS file with something like:

/** tailwind.css / index.css / main.css file in your project  */
@import "tailwindcss";

Replace this with the shared ESET config:

/** tailwind.css / index.css / main.css file in your project  */
@import "@eset-gdd/tailwind-config/index.css";

💡 Keep this import in a separate CSS file - it will come in handy later for IntelliSense configuration.

ℹ️ All Tailwind utilities are prefixed with tw: to avoid conflicts.

4. Install & configure Tailwind IntelliSense

Install the Tailwind CSS IntelliSense extension:

To enable both, the ESET theme and the IntelliSense for the ESET theme, add the following to your .vscode/settings.json:

/** .settings.json */
{
  "tailwindCSS.experimental.configFile": "./src/styles/tailwind.css" // <-- add this line (relative path to file importing "@eset-gdd/tailwind-config/index.css")
}
