Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@esvigy/cli

v0.2.1

Published

Official CLI for Esvigy — add customizable, animated illustrations directly to your project.

Readme

⚡ Quick Start

You don't need to install this package permanently. Run it directly with your package manager:

# With pnpm
pnpm dlx @esvigy/cli add

# With npm
npx @esvigy/cli add

# With bun
bunx @esvigy/cli add

# With yarn
yarn dlx @esvigy/cli add

Note: The unscoped alias esvigy is currently pending an npm support whitelist review (false-positive similarity flag with envify). In the meantime, use @esvigy/cli.

If no arguments are passed, an interactive wizard prompts you to select illustrations, target framework, and verifies your installation folder.

🚀 Direct Usage

Add a specific illustration:

# React component (.tsx)
pnpm dlx @esvigy/cli add ActionCreate --framework react

# Raw SVG (.svg) into public folder
pnpm dlx @esvigy/cli add EmptyBox --framework svg --dir public/illustrations

# Multiple illustrations at once
pnpm dlx @esvigy/cli add StatusSuccess StatusFail StatusProcessing

🧠 Smart Component Folder Auto-Detection

esvigy automatically inspects your project layout so you don't have to specify --dir every time:

  1. shadcn/ui components.json: If your project has a components.json configuration, esvigy reads your aliases.components path (e.g. @/components or ~/components) and targets <components>/esvigy/.
  2. Project Structure:
    • If src/components/ exists $\rightarrow$ targets src/components/esvigy/
    • If components/ exists $\rightarrow$ targets components/esvigy/
    • If src/ exists $\rightarrow$ targets src/components/esvigy/
    • Fallback: components/esvigy/
  3. Framework Auto-Detection: Inspects package.json dependencies to determine whether you're using React, Vue, or Svelte, and pre-selects the appropriate framework in the interactive prompt.

📋 Commands

esvigy add [illustrations...]

| Option | Shorthand | Description | Default | | :--- | :---: | :--- | :--- | | --framework | -f | Target framework (react, svg, vue, svelte) | Auto-detected | | --dir | -d | Target folder for the components | Auto-detected components/esvigy | | --yes | -y | Skip interactive prompts and accept detected defaults | false | | --overwrite | | Overwrite existing files if they already exist | false |

esvigy list

List all 30+ illustrations in the catalog with category groupings and tags:

# List all illustrations
pnpm dlx @esvigy/cli list

# Filter by category
pnpm dlx @esvigy/cli list --category empty-states
pnpm dlx @esvigy/cli list --category status
pnpm dlx @esvigy/cli list --category actions

# Output as JSON
pnpm dlx @esvigy/cli list --json
