Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Command-line client for Atoll: authenticate, connect or create a repository, trigger deployments, and inspect status/logs.

@eutima/atoll-cli

Command-line client for the Atoll control plane: authenticate, connect or create a GitHub repository, trigger deployments, and inspect status/logs — without leaving your terminal.

Requirements

  • Node.js 18 or newer.
  • git — atoll init offers to install it for you if it's missing.
  • Claude Code (or, on Windows, Claude Desktop) — optional; atoll init offers to install it for you if it's missing.

Quick start

npx @eutima/atoll-cli init

Run from inside (or on top of) the project you want to deploy. It will:

  1. Check git is installed (offering to install it if not).
  2. Check Claude Code is installed (offering to install it if not — Claude Desktop on Windows, since Claude Code doesn't run natively there).
  3. Log you in. New accounts are created on the web: choosing "Create a new account" opens the sign-up page for the free 30-day trial.
  4. git init the current directory if needed.
  5. Create a GitHub repository (or connect an existing one) if there's no origin remote yet.
  6. Make sure the Atoll GitHub App can see the repository.
  7. Connect it to Atoll and optionally set up a deployment environment.

Prefer a global install so you can just type atoll:

npm install -g @eutima/atoll-cli
atoll init

Authentication

atoll login opens your browser to sign in (new accounts are created on the web sign-up page), approves the CLI from there, and stores a personal access token in ~/.config/atoll/config.json. Nothing else in the CLI ever touches your password — every other command uses that stored token.

Commands

| Command | Description | | --- | --- | | atoll init | One-command onboarding: git, login (or a link to the web sign-up for a free trial), and connect the current directory's repo. | | atoll login [--api-url <url>] | Authenticate via the browser and store a token. | | atoll logout | Revoke the stored token and forget it locally. | | atoll whoami | Show the currently authenticated user. | | atoll repo list [--search <term>] | List repositories connected to Atoll. | | atoll repo create <name> [--org <account>] [--public] | Create a new GitHub repository and point this directory's git remote at it (private by default). | | atoll setup | Connect (or create) the current directory's repository in Atoll. | | atoll helix [--url <url>] | Add "Login with Helix" to an existing app: installs the Helix Auth skill into .claude/skills/ and shows the next steps (credentials, Variables tab, deploy). | | atoll deploy [branch] [--repo <name>] | Push the current (or given) branch and wait for the deployment to finish. | | atoll status [--repo <name>] [--environment <name>] | Show the latest deployment per environment. | | atoll deployments list [--repo <name>] | List deployments for a repository. | | atoll deployments rollback <deploymentId> | Roll back to the previous successful deployment. | | atoll logs [--repo <name>] [--environment <name>] [--follow] | Read structured pipeline logs, or --follow to live-tail container logs. |

Repo-scoped commands infer the repository from the current directory's git remote (or the sole connected repository, if there's only one) when --repo is omitted.
