Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

LSP Development Skill

An installable Codex and Claude skill for building Language Server Protocol servers and editor integrations.

The skill covers protocol capability negotiation, document sync, completion, hover, signature help, diagnostics, definitions, references, semantic tokens, rename, code actions, workspace indexing, client/server wiring, packaging, testing, and performance-sensitive editor behavior.

Install

Use npm without a global install:

npx @explorer_kasmir/lsp-dev-skill install codex
npx @explorer_kasmir/lsp-dev-skill install claude

Install into an explicit skills directory:

npx @explorer_kasmir/lsp-dev-skill install --target ~/.codex/skills
npx @explorer_kasmir/lsp-dev-skill install --target ~/.claude/skills

Replace an existing install:

npx @explorer_kasmir/lsp-dev-skill install codex --force

Manual Install

Copy skills/lsp-dev into your agent's skills directory.

Common locations:

  • Codex: ~/.codex/skills/lsp-dev
  • Claude: ~/.claude/skills/lsp-dev

If your client uses a different skills directory, copy the folder there or use --target.

Validate

npm test
npm run doctor

The validator checks the required SKILL.md, referenced files, references/, and agents/openai.yaml.

Publish

npm pack
npm publish --access public

Test the packed artifact before publishing:

npm pack
npx ./explorer_kasmir-lsp-dev-skill-1.0.0.tgz install --target ./tmp/skills
