Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

FLORA for eve agents: the hosted FLORA MCP server plus the tested skills that drive it.

@flora-ai/eve-extension

FLORA for eve agents. Generate and transform image, video, audio, text, and 3D on a real FLORA canvas.

The extension gives an agent three things: a connection to the hosted FLORA MCP server, the operating rules for using it well, and routing into FLORA's own tested workflows.

Install

npm install @flora-ai/eve-extension

Create a Vercel Connect connector for FLORA, once per team, from your agent's directory:

vercel connect create https://agents.flora.ai/mcp --name flora

It opens a browser to authorize FLORA and prints a connector UID shaped agents.flora.ai/flora. Mount the extension with it:

// agent/extensions/flora.ts
import flora from "@flora-ai/eve-extension"

export default flora({ connector: process.env.FLORA_CONNECTOR! })

Each person who talks to the agent authorizes their own FLORA account on first use, so there is no shared key and each generation spends that person's credits.

Configuration

| Option | Default | Notes | | --------------- | ----------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------- | | connector | — | Vercel Connect connector UID. Set this or token. | | token | — | Static bearer token. Development only; production rejects one. | | url | https://agents.flora.ai/mcp | Point at a staging worker when developing. | | principalType | "user" | "app" makes every session act as one shared FLORA account. |

What it contributes

Mounted as flora, the extension adds:

  • flora__mcp — the FLORA MCP connection. Its tools arrive as flora__mcp__flora_generate and so on.
  • flora__workflows — a skill that routes into FLORA's server-served workflows (flora_discover_skills), so they are never stale in your project.
  • instructions — cost and batching rules, asset upload handling, 3D inspection.

FLORA's own skills are written against bare tool names like flora_generate, because they are shared with agents that mount FLORA flat. The extension's instructions tell the model to match tool names by suffix, so those skills work unmodified here.
