Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

v0.8.0

Published

Local web UI for running and observing AFK workflows.

Readme

@flower-f/afk-web

Local AFK web UI server, API, and browser client for afk-dev.

Most users should start it through @flower-f/afk-cli:

afk web

Features

  • dashboard with doctor readiness, workspace config, live jobs, and recent sessions
  • run composer with workflow preset selection and advanced runtime/pipeline overrides
  • live SSE progress for run stages, checks, tool calls, artifacts, and failures
  • persisted run history, event search/filtering, artifact preview, and copyable tool output
  • session continuation, run comparison, and pending turn accept/revert actions

Usage

Start the local Web console from a project workspace:

afk
# or
afk web --open

afk web accepts the same workspace/runtime selection inputs as other commands:

afk web \
  --workspace . \
  --runtime codex \
  --model openai/gpt-5.5 \
  --port 4321 \
  --open

By default it binds to 127.0.0.1:4321 and protects the UI/API with a random auth token in the printed URL. The Web server is local-only; stop it with Ctrl-C.

Tests

pnpm --filter @flower-f/afk-web typecheck
pnpm --filter @flower-f/afk-web test
pnpm --filter @flower-f/afk-web test:e2e

test:e2e builds the package, starts the local Web fixture, and runs Playwright coverage for dashboard, run stream, sessions, artifacts, empty states, error states, and responsive layout. If Chromium is missing, run:

pnpm --filter @flower-f/afk-web exec playwright install chromium

To reuse an existing browser binary, set AFK_WEB_E2E_CHROMIUM=/path/to/chromium.

Repository ownership

The source of record is src/, test/, package metadata, and Vite/Playwright configuration. Generated output is intentionally ignored:

  • dist/
  • client-dist/
  • test-results/
  • node_modules/

Build the package before local CLI smoke runs that serve the static client:

pnpm --filter @flower-f/afk-web build
