Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Local, exact-version MCP delivery for public FLOWSTACK Agent Knowledge.

Readme

@flowstack-ui/mcp

Local, exact-version MCP access to public FLOWSTACK Agent Knowledge. The server is a thin adapter over installed public packages or an explicitly supplied Agent Tools source lock. It never fetches package metadata, substitutes latest, or reads private workspace notes. The package also exports the shared locked-only handler used by the public hosted endpoint; the CLI itself remains local stdio and opens no HTTP listener.

Run locally

Use the exact packages installed in a project:

flowstack-mcp --project-root /path/to/project

Or explicitly add an exact Agent Tools source lock:

flowstack-mcp \
  --project-root /path/to/project \
  --source-lock /path/to/sources/lock.json

FLOWSTACK_MCP_PROJECT_ROOT and FLOWSTACK_MCP_SOURCE_LOCK provide the same local-path configuration. Command-line flags take precedence. URLs are rejected. Requests must name exact versions; tags and ranges are errors.

The stdio entry uses the MCP TypeScript v2 serveStdio(factory) API. It negotiates the modern 2026 protocol and serves supported legacy stdio clients from the same factory. Standard output is reserved exclusively for JSON-RPC; diagnostics use standard error.

Hosted read-only endpoint

https://agents.brick-ui.com/mcp exposes the same 11 tools through modern and legacy stateless Streamable HTTP so current ChatGPT and Codex plugin runtimes can negotiate their supported revision. Hosted resolution is closed to the checked public source lock: it cannot inspect project-installed dependencies, accepts no private source, serves no paid Blocks data, and performs no writes or outbound network requests. Responses are uncached and carry no cookie or session ID in either protocol era.

Use the exact stdio package in application repositories when guidance must match their installed FLOWSTACK package versions. Use the hosted endpoint for public discovery and locked release guidance.

Static skills extension

The server advertises the bounded io.modelcontextprotocol/skills extension and serves the four canonical FLOWSTACK workflow skills through skills/list, skills/get, and standard resources/read. Every catalog entry contains the complete resource set and a SHA-256 digest for each UTF-8 file. The packaged snapshot is generated byte-for-byte from the canonical root skills/ tree so hosted plugin imports and standalone installations cannot drift silently.

Source behavior

  • auto accepts an exact project-installed version first, then the exact explicit lock entry.
  • installed requires the named version in the project installation.
  • locked requires the named version in the supplied source lock.
  • No policy falls forward to another version.

Every result includes package, layer, version, provenance, and a public-authority attestation for installed allowlisted artifacts or admitted hash-locked package artifacts. Missing public artifacts are returned as explicit availability gaps. In particular, the current locked text corpus does not include component declaration files or Brick's theme-contract.json; those tools require the exact installed package until canonical ingestion includes those public artifacts. Examples are returned only from public source code fences that actually ship.

resolve_interface_job requires an explicit finished, headless, or theming workflow. Finished work requires exact Brick and never promotes Atom to the primary owner; an optional exact Atom version supplies only behavior links carried by Brick guidance. Theming requires Theme. Paid Blocks remain outside this public source lock and MCP surface.

Selection ranking considers only positive intent and use ownership fields, never alternative or cautionary notes. Matches include stable selection and intent identifiers and must clear a meaningful overlap threshold; otherwise the result is an explicit selection gap.

validate_composition accepts an exact owner plus structured parts, relationships, imports, properties, and styles. It evaluates canonical rules that are objectively checkable, returns every remaining rule and guide validation as manual, and cannot report valid: true when anatomy is absent or a must-level rule remains unverified. create_gap_report requires evidence for every searched owner and checks only evidence linkage and ownership structure. It preserves claim prose as not semantically verified and accepts a structured fallback owner, layer, and description; Brick-to-Atom fallback ownership is rejected.

See docs/tools.md for the generated tool inventory.

Security boundary

The server accepts local package roots and a local checked source lock only. It rejects arbitrary URLs, path traversal, unknown package identities, unlocked snapshot files, version ranges/tags, unsafe archive references, and private markers in requests. Installed artifacts are admitted only through package manifests, exports, and documented public allowlists. Locked artifacts are admitted only after source-lock identity, inventory, relative-path, byte, and SHA-256 validation. Both are then public package authority: their canonical content is not marker- or secret-scanned, so legitimate boundary guidance remains readable. Private, machine-specific, and secret-like artifact paths remain rejected. The static skill resources are public, immutable package files and expose no workspace paths or paid content. The stdio CLI exposes no HTTP listener or authentication. The separately hosted adapter exposes no private Blueprints, Research Memory, Creative Intelligence, ranking policy, customer material, proprietary prompts, or paid Blocks source.

Verification

npm run check:repository

Verification generates the registry/docs/capability inventory from one source, drives list and call requests through the official JSON-RPC client, exercises exact installed and locked fixtures, checks rejection boundaries and stdout purity, and installs the exact archive in an isolated npx-style consumer.
