Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Founding Bot X

Founding Bot X is an app for coding agents from Founding Bot. Work with your existing agent subscriptions, review code changes, and run commands in your projects, then continue from the desktop, web, or mobile app.

This package runs the Founding Bot X server and its foundingbot-x command.

Run it

npx @foundingbot/x@latest

Or install the command:

npm install -g @foundingbot/x
foundingbot-x

It needs Node.js 20.11 or newer. Supported platforms are macOS on Apple silicon, Linux (x64 and arm64), and Windows (x64 and arm64). On an Intel Mac, use the desktop app instead.

How it works

This package is a small launcher. The first time a version runs, it downloads that version's Founding Bot X executable from founding.bot, checks it against the release's checksums, and keeps it in ~/.foundingbot-x/runtime/versions/<version>. Set FOUNDINGBOT_X_HOME to use another folder than ~/.foundingbot-x.

Run foundingbot-x --help for the commands. The desktop app is at founding.bot/x/download.
