Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Fukamo SEO audits as an MCP tool for coding agents

Readme

@fukamo/mcp

Fukamo audits as an MCP tool, so a coding agent can check the page it is working on.

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "fukamo": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@fukamo/mcp"],
      "env": { "FUKAMO_API_KEY": "…" }
    }
  }
}

Works in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor — anything that speaks MCP over stdio.

Every tool runs the full Fukamo audit — the page scan plus Lighthouse, network checks and a rendered JavaScript check, the same result the website gives. That takes a few minutes — longer than many MCP clients wait for one tool call — so a whole tool call — queuing, waiting and a PDF download — stays within about 45 seconds and, if the audit is still running, returns its id. get_audit_result(audit_id) then waits for it; calling it again costs nothing, while starting a new audit would queue and charge the same work twice.

Tools

| tool | | |---|---| | audit_website(url, query?, locale?) | the headline score and its parts, the counts, the search phrase used, and the failing checks worst-first with a fix for each. Written for a model to act on, not for a screen. | | get_audit_result(audit_id) | the result of an audit a tool started, in the same form; says so when it is still running. | | fukamo_report_pdf(path, url? \| audit_id?, query?, locale?) | writes the report to a file and returns the path — the same PDF the website gives. With audit_id it reuses a finished audit instead of running a new one. Charged apart from audits, fifteen an hour by default. | | audit_website_pages(urls, query?, locale?) | up to ten pages of one website, when the Fukamo operator has multi-page audits enabled; otherwise the tool returns the server's message and a model should audit pages one at a time. |

query is the search phrase the page should rank for. Without it Fukamo uses the first keyword it suggests for the page, as the website does; when a page offers none, the query checks are not measured. locale is the report's language — en (default), sk or es — for the result and the PDF; an audit_id keeps the language it was started in. A full audit costs five of the key's sixty hourly audits; a key can have at most ten pages waiting at once, and audits one page per website a day unless the Fukamo operator gave it more (up to 50); an audited page can be audited again.

| variable | | |---|---| | FUKAMO_API_KEY | required | | FUKAMO_API_URL | optional, defaults to https://fukamo.com | | FUKAMO_WAIT_MS | optional, how long one tool call waits before returning the audit id; 45000 by default |

Results are in English. Versions before 0.3.0 used an endpoint that has been retired and now return a message asking you to update.
