Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Unified DSH static checks for Skill declarations: deterministic analysis, security vetting, and optional AI content critique

Readme

dsh-static-check

Unified DSH static inspection plugin for Skill declarations.

It combines three SIFT checks behind one plugin and one React workbench:

  • analyze — deterministic 11-check Skill declaration analysis
  • vet — deterministic security vetting with optional external scanners
  • critique — optional LLM-assisted content review

The unified UI is named Skill 静态检查. The term "static" means the target Skill is not executed; it does not mean every check is deterministic. AI content review is visibly marked and is never enabled by default.

Interfaces

  • service: staticCheck
  • command: /skill-check <path> [--checks analyze,vet,critique]
  • tool: skill_static_check
  • catalog: GET /api/dsh-static-check/catalog
  • run: POST /api/dsh-static-check/run
  • content: GET /api/dsh-static-check/content?skillPath=...
  • manual paths: POST /api/dsh-static-check/manual-paths

Analyze and vet are the default for Skills. Agent declarations default to critique only because analyze/vet currently target Skill directories.

Managed SIFT runtime

When the plugin loads and no usable sift executable is present, it asks the shared environmentHealth service to prepare the pinned guixu-labs/sift commit 558d1465e87dd14cce5530b44b93aa2962a679b9:

~/.dsh-sift/runtime/2.6.0-dev.558d146/
~/.local/bin/sift

Installation implementation lives in @fuxi-ailabs/dsh-env-health, not in this plugin. The shared provisioner requires curl, tar, Python 3.10+, and network access; it deduplicates concurrent requests in-process and uses a cross-process lock. Audit and Eval therefore share the same SIFT installation task.

Migration

dsh-static-check is now the single static inspection plugin. The old standalone dsh-skill-analyze, dsh-skill-vet, and dsh-skill-critique plugins have been removed.

The plugin exposes only the unified staticCheck service and /skill-check command. Legacy manual-path stores are still read once to migrate existing user-added declarations into dsh-static-check.

Manual paths

Skill and Agent paths are persisted under:

$DSH_HOME/dsh-static-check/manual-paths.json
$DSH_HOME/dsh-static-check/manual-agent-paths.json

On first use, paths from the old dsh-skill-critique, dsh-skill-vet, and dsh-skill-analyze stores are migrated best-effort.
