Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Todoist MCP Server

A Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that provides tools for interacting with Todoist, enabling AI assistants to manage tasks, projects, labels, sections, and comments through the Todoist API.

Installation

  1. Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/ganievs/todoist-mcp-server.git
cd todoist-mcp-server
  1. Install dependencies:
npm install
  1. Build the project:
npm run build

Configuration

Environment Variables

Set your Todoist API token:

export TODOIST_API_TOKEN="your_api_token_here"

To get your API token:

  1. Go to Todoist Settings
  2. Scroll down to the "API token" section
  3. Copy your personal API token

MCP Client Configuration

Add the server to your MCP client configuration. For Claude Desktop, add to your claude_desktop_config.json:

Usage

Once configured, you can use natural language to interact with Todoist through your MCP client:
