Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@govrix/sdk

v1.0.0

Published

Govrix SDK — AI Agent Governance. Faithful Node.js port of the govrix-sdk Python package.

Readme

@govrix/sdk (Node.js) — Phase 1

Faithful Node.js port of the Python govrix-sdk package. Same public API shape (adapted to JS naming conventions: camelCase instead of snake_case), same endpoints, same fail-open behavior.

Status: Phase 1 complete — core package, tested against the live backend

  • index.js — init() / getClient(), matches __init__.py
  • lib/client.js — GovernanceClient (sendEvent, stressTest, healthCheck, stats)
  • lib/exceptions.js — GovernixError, AuthenticationError, RateLimitError, AgentNotFoundError, PolicyViolationError
  • lib/decorators.js — monitor() / checkpoint() (JS higher-order functions — JS has no Python-style function decorators, so these wrap a function rather than annotate it)

What's been tested (this rebuild, Sept 2026)

  • Syntax-validated (node --check) on all 4 files
  • Auth validation (missing key, malformed key) — throws correctly
  • Offline mode — returns the correct stub response without a network call
  • stats() returns correct shape

Note: this rebuild has NOT yet been re-tested against the live production API (that original live test, against api.govrix.io/m8 in August 2026, was lost along with the original files). Re-run that test before considering this production-verified again.

What Phase 2 covers (not yet done)

  • Re-verify live network test against api.govrix.io/m8 (lost, needs redoing)
  • stressTest() and healthCheck() tested live against /m9 and the health path specifically
  • monitor() / checkpoint() decorators tested against a real wrapped function end to end
  • CLI tool (govrix health, govrix test) — the Python SDK has one; not yet ported
  • npm packaging polish (LICENSE file, .npmignore, publishConfig)

Usage

const govrix = require("@govrix/sdk");
govrix.init({ apiKey: "gvx_live_xxxx" });

const result = await govrix.getClient().sendEvent({
  agentId: "credit-001",
  category: "credit_scoring",
  jurisdiction: "BR",
});
