Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

MiniPay-compatible wallet UI for Celo — send, batch, contacts, balances

Readme

CeloWallet

A production-ready Web3 wallet dApp for the Celo network. Works with MiniPay, MetaMask, Rabby, and any EIP-1193 wallet.

Features

  • 🟡 Native CELO balance & sending
  • 💚 USDm (cUSD), USDC, USDT, cEUR, cREAL support
  • 📱 MiniPay-first — auto-connects, hides disconnect UI, uses legacy tx type
  • 🔄 Auto-refreshes balances every 30s
  • 🔗 CeloScan links for address & transactions
  • ✅ Input validation (address format, balance check)
  • 🎨 Dark terminal aesthetic, Syne + JetBrains Mono fonts

Stack

  • Next.js 14 (App Router)
  • wagmi v2 + viem
  • @tanstack/react-query
  • Tailwind CSS v3
  • lucide-react

Getting Started

npm install
npm run dev

Open http://localhost:3000.

MiniPay Testing

Use ngrok to expose your local server:

ngrok http 3000

Then open the ngrok URL inside Opera Mini / MiniPay.

Key MiniPay Requirements

All are handled automatically:

  1. Legacy transactions — All sends use type: "legacy" (pre-EIP-1559) inside MiniPay
  2. Auto-connect — Wallet connection is implicit; the app calls connect() on mount inside MiniPay
  3. No disconnect UI — The disconnect button is hidden when window.ethereum.isMiniPay is true
  4. window.ethereum guards — All provider access is gated

Adding Tokens

Edit lib/tokens.ts and add an entry to the TOKENS array:

{
  symbol: "TOKEN",
  name: "My Token",
address: "0x...", // ERC-20 contract address on Celo mainnet
  decimals: 18,
  color: "#FFFFFF",
  bg: "#111111",
}

Deployment

npm run build
npm run start

Deploy to Vercel, Netlify, or any Node.js host.

Extending

  • Transaction history — use useReadContract with Celo's event logs or Covalent API
  • Token prices — integrate Celo's SortedOracles or Chainlink price feeds
  • QR scanner — add react-qr-reader to the send modal
  • Receive screen — show a QR code of the connected address
