mcp — MCP Server Manager CLI

Manage MCP servers from the command line. Install, remove, list, search, and diagnose Model Context Protocol servers without editing JSON by hand.

Commands

Usage

# Install a known server
mcp install filesystem

# Install any npm package as an MCP server
mcp install @my-org/my-mcp-server

# List installed servers
mcp list

# Check status
mcp status github

# Run full diagnostic
mcp doctor

# Search the registry
mcp search postgres

# Remove a server
mcp remove slack

Supported Config Files

Auto-detects (in order):

• opencode.json / .opencode.json (current directory)
• claude_desktop_config.json (~/.config/claude/)
• Windsurf config (~/.windsurf/config.json)
