Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Crew AI

A crew of AI agents that pay per call in USDC. Each agent has its own ENS name and a budget it cannot raise, and every reply shows what it cost.

npm install -g @harsh132/crew-ai
crew

Then open http://127.0.0.1:8800.

Or run it in Docker:

docker run -d --name crew -p 127.0.0.1:8800:8800 -v crew-data:/data harsh132/crew-ai

What happens when you start it

  1. Unlock your crew. Connect a wallet (email, browser wallet or WalletConnect) and sign twice. Your crew's key is derived from that signature, so signing with the same wallet on any computer gives you the same crew back — there is nothing to back up.
  2. Choose your name. Claim you.crewai.eth, owned by your wallet. Every agent you hire is named beneath it.
  3. Fund it. Send USDC on Arc testnet to your crew's address; it is deposited into Circle Gateway automatically.
  4. Hire agents and give them tasks. Each one spends from its own budget, enforced by the runtime that holds the key.

Organizations can invite members by their Crew name, and members get a name under the organization's own .eth name.

Requirements

  • Node.js 20 or newer
  • A wallet you can sign with (Privy handles email login if you do not have one)

This runs on testnets — Arc testnet for payments and Sepolia for ENS names. Keep working money in it, not savings.

Configuration

| Variable | Default | | |---|---|---| | CREW_PORT | 8800 | Port the runtime serves on | | CREW_NETWORK | eip155:5042002 | Payment network (Arc testnet) | | CREW_BACKEND | the hosted crew backend | Names and organizations | | CREW_AUTO_DEPOSIT | on | Set to off to stop auto-depositing into Gateway | | CREW_HOME | ~/.crew-ai | Where the crew's key and data are kept |

crew --help lists them too.
