Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Local MCP server for Adobe Premiere Pro with a signed CEP bridge.

Readme

Higgsfield Premiere Pro MCP

Local MCP server for inspecting and editing Adobe Premiere Pro projects. Supports media import, bins, sequences, timeline clips, track controls and video export.

Requirements

  • Node.js 24 or later.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro and Creative Cloud installed on the same computer as the MCP client.
  • Tested on macOS with Premiere Pro 26.5.1. Windows support is experimental.

Installation

npm install --global @higgsfield_org/premiere-mcp
fnf-premiere doctor
fnf-premiere install-bridge
fnf-premiere config

The package includes a signed CEP extension. install-bridge installs it using Adobe's installer and verifies its version. Save open projects and restart Premiere once after installation or a bridge update. No visible panel or pairing is needed; the extension starts with Premiere.

Add the server entry printed by config to your MCP client's configuration, preserving existing entries. It uses absolute Node and server paths. Reconnect the client after registration. config does not change client settings itself.

Once Premiere has finished starting, check the connection:

fnf-premiere probe

The stdio executable is fnf-premiere-mcp. New client sessions reuse the installed bridge. No developer mode, signing tools or certificates are required by users.

Tools

| Tool | Purpose | | -------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- | | pr_document_info | Inspect the active project. | | pr_catalog | List 26 operations and retrieve exact argument schemas. | | pr_do | Execute a catalog operation. | | pr_guide | Read editing and targeting instructions. | | pr_get_skill | Index and read bundled Premiere workflows and references. | | pr_get_skill_asset | Resolve a bundled asset or script to a verified local path. | | pr_status | Inspect local connection state. |

Call pr_get_skill without arguments to discover any specialized workflows in the installed version; an empty index means use pr_guide. Asset paths returned by pr_get_skill_asset exist on this computer only. Reading a skill does not prove Premiere is connected or that every described operation is supported.

Use the active project path and unique sequence names. Refresh clip indexes, names and start times after timeline edits. Time values are seconds. Sequence creation requires a local .sqpreset; export requires a local .epr preset. Save/export requires a new absolute path. Save As changes the active project path. Set ADOBE_MCP_READONLY=1 in the server environment to disable mutations and exports.

Troubleshooting and limits

doctor checks local prerequisites; probe reads Premiere. Verify a tool call in the MCP client after registration.

  • SIGNED_BRIDGE_MISSING: reinstall a complete published package.
  • BRIDGE_OFFLINE: open Premiere and wait for startup; restart after installing the bridge.
  • BRIDGE_VERSION_MISMATCH: run this package's install-bridge and restart Premiere.
  • BUSY or uncertain completion: a call may still be running. Inspect Premiere before recovering ~/.higgsfield-adobe/premiere-native/call.lock; never blindly replay edits.

Calls are serialized and claimed requests are not replayed after a restart. Native errors may leave partial changes; edits are not transactions. The bridge uses the default configuration directory; a custom ADOBE_MCP_CONFIG_DIR is unsupported.

Direct export waits for the native exporter. Adobe Media Encoder mode reports job submission, not completed encoding. Inspect the resulting media independently. Effects, keyframes, captions, transitions, inline previews and nested-bin traversal are not supported.
