Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@i-s3/rightflow-mcp — RightFlow MCP Server

Assignment is not authority. RightOS answers MAY: what an actor may do. RightFlow answers NEXT: what should happen next. This MCP server exposes coordination tools without turning assignments into rights, payments, dispatch, or execution control.

MCP server for RightFlow (coordination), separate from @i-s3/rightos-mcp (rights).

| Layer | Question | MCP package | | --- | --- | --- | | RightOS | What may be done? | @i-s3/rightos-mcp | | RightFlow | What should happen next? | @i-s3/rightflow-mcp | | Execution | How is it done? | your systems |

Not a taxi/dispatch service. No price/bid/pay tools. Does not control robots or navigate.

Setup (Cursor / Claude Desktop)

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "rightflow": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@i-s3/rightflow-mcp"],
      "env": {
        "RIGHTOS_API_KEY": "rk_live_...",
        "RIGHTOS_BASE_URL": "https://rightos.i-s3.com"
      }
    }
  }
}

Local (from this repo, after npm install && npm run build in sdk/rightflow and sdk/rightflow-mcp):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "rightflow": {
      "command": "node",
      "args": ["products/rightos/sdk/rightflow-mcp/dist/index.js"],
      "env": {
        "RIGHTOS_API_KEY": "rk_demo_00000000000000000000",
        "RIGHTOS_BASE_URL": "http://localhost:3000"
      }
    }
  }
}

RIGHTOS_API_KEY is required for all API tools. explain_rightflow works without it.

Tools

| Tool | API key | Description | | --- | --- | --- | | explain_rightflow | no | Boundaries and non-goals | | upsert_actor | yes | Upsert capabilities | | list_actors / get_actor | yes | Actors — list is integrator/admin; prefer get_actor | | create_task / list_tasks / get_task | yes | FlowTasks — list is integrator/admin; prefer get_task or actorId | | apply_transition | yes | start / progress / complete / fail / cancel — coarse progress only | | create_proposal / list_proposals | yes | assignment / reassignment / swap | | accept_proposal / reject_proposal | yes | Resolve proposals |

Visibility ≠ necessity: Organization-wide list_* is retained for integrators/admins. Autonomous agent paths should prefer direct get and scoped filters — do not make org-wide discovery the default decision input.

Coordination tempo: Prefer infrequent progress milestones. Keep high-frequency telemetry in the execution system.

Example prompts

  • "Explain RightFlow boundaries, then create a task requiring carry.light and assign it to actor_a."
  • "Propose a swap between two assigned tasks (there is no bid tool)."
  • "Get task task_… by id (do not list the whole organization unless you are integrating)."
