Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

iGaming Finder CLI + MCP server — company & license intelligence for the iGaming ecosystem

Readme

@igamingfinder/cli

The command-line tool and MCP server for iGaming Finder. Look up iGaming companies, gambling licenses and casino domains. Follow changes on official gambling registers, find decision-maker contacts, and download your prospect lists. Use it in a terminal or a script, or connect it to an AI assistant such as Claude or Cursor, so that the assistant can run the same lookups for you.

Install

You need Node.js 18 or later.

npm install -g @igamingfinder/cli
igamingfinder --help

To run it without installing:

npx -y @igamingfinder/cli --help

Get an API key

  1. Run igamingfinder signup. It opens the signup page. New accounts get welcome bonus credits.
  2. Click the link in the email that we send you.
  3. Copy your API key from igamingfinder.com/account/api-keys.
  4. Save the key. The CLI asks for it and hides what you type, so the key stays out of shell history:
igamingfinder config set-key
igamingfinder account

The CLI saves the key in ~/.config/igamingfinder/config.json, readable only by you. IGAMINGFINDER_API_KEY in your environment takes priority over the saved key; for an MCP client, put it in the client's environment settings (see below). igamingfinder config show displays only the first eight characters of the key and the API URL. Do not pass the key as an argument: config set-key <key> and the --token flag can leave it in shell history, and --token can show it in process lists. Do not share your config file or a real key in screenshots.

Credits

  • Previews, account, logos search, people roles and prospect lists are free.
  • Each paid command says in its --help how it is billed: per result, per profile, per contact, per verdict, per row or per Signal.
  • Every paid response includes credits_charged.
  • Every paid command accepts --max-credits <n>. The call is refused if it would cost more than that.
  • Run igamingfinder account to see your plan and credit balance.

Use it with an AI assistant (MCP)

Hosted server

Add this URL as a custom connector in Claude, Cursor, Codex or any MCP client that supports remote servers:

https://mcp.igamingfinder.com/mcp

Your client opens iGaming Finder sign-in in the browser. Sign in, choose how many credits the assistant may spend, and approve. You do not need Node.js or an API key. Setup for each client: igamingfinder.com/docs/mcp.

Local server

To run the server on your own machine, add this to the MCP settings of Claude Desktop (claude_desktop_config.json) or Cursor (~/.cursor/mcp.json):

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "igaming-finder": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@igamingfinder/cli", "mcp"],
      "env": { "IGAMINGFINDER_API_KEY": "client_YOUR_KEY" }
    }
  }
}

Tools

Signals: changes on official gambling registers, billed per Signal. Each Signal has a signal_ref.

  • signals_market_entries: operator changes on one market's register.
  • signals_register_changes: all changes on one jurisdiction's register.
  • signals_platform_sites: operator sites first seen on one platform.

Companies

  • companies_search_preview: how many companies match a search, and its cost. Free.
  • companies_search: find companies, or with related the organisations related to one company_ref, company page URL or domain. Billed per result.
  • companies_resolve: full profile of one company, identified by exactly one of company_ref, domain, page_url (a company page URL, path /company/<slug>), or legal_entity. Search names with companies_search and q, then use a returned identifier. Billed per profile; optional firmographics cost 12 credits per delivered company and return one object or null, while optional people return an array billed per delivered contact. When an identifier names several companies, nothing is charged and next_action gives the search that lists them.
  • companies_firmographics: one company firmographics object or null. Billed 12 credits per delivered company.
  • companies_people: decision-maker contacts in an array. Billed per delivered contact. total is the number of people the company page lists. It is not the number that match role. It is null when people are unavailable. One call returns one page (10 contacts by default, 100 at most). To get the next page, pass next_cursor as after (--after) and keep the same other arguments; only next_cursor: null means that no contact is left. If a cursor is rejected, nothing is charged; start again without after. deliverable is the number of people of the page the tool can deliver; when it is lower than total, the others are not available.

All three company lookup tools and their CLI commands take exactly one of the four identifiers above; none accepts a positional company identifier. --name is not a lookup option; use companies search --q <name>. The recommended path is companies search, then --page-url. By domain, people and firmographics use the main company page of the domain; each contact names its page. When the main page is not known, the call is refused at zero credits and next_action gives the related search that lists the pages. A domain no company page names, a shared platform domain, or a too-broad domain returns 404 at zero credits. The standalone endpoints are GET /v1/companies/firmographics and GET /v1/companies/people.

Licenses

  • licenses_search_preview: how many licenses match a search, and its cost. Free.
  • licenses_search: find licenses. Billed per result.
  • licenses_resolve: full license profile. Billed per profile.

Domains

  • domains_resolve: is a casino domain licensed or blocklisted, and by whom. Billed per verdict; only the Operator Launch Profile and data refreshes add a charge.
  • domains_search: all domains with one verdict, such as a country's blocklist. Billed per row.

Logos

  • logos_search: find a logo by name. Free.

People

  • people_roles: the role keys for filtering contacts. Free.

Prospect lists

  • prospect_lists_list, prospect_lists_show, prospect_lists_download: read and download your prospect lists. Free.

To get the next page of a list, pass next_cursor from the response as after.

JSON and jq

Data commands print JSON when their output goes to a pipe or a file. Commands that print a table in the terminal also accept --json. This lets you use jq:

igamingfinder signals market-entries --role operator --market anjouan \
  | jq -r '.signals[] | [.signal_ref, .subject.published_legal_name, .change.event_type] | @tsv'
igamingfinder companies search --jurisdiction mga --json | jq -r '.hits[] | .primary_domain.domain // empty'

Shell completion

Generate a completion script for your shell. It completes command, subcommand and option names:

igamingfinder completion fish > ~/.config/fish/completions/igamingfinder.fish
igamingfinder completion zsh > "${fpath[1]}/_igamingfinder" # then run: compinit
igamingfinder completion bash > ~/.local/share/bash-completion/completions/igamingfinder
