Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

DagNgx

Build

DagNgx is a collection of Angular components and utilities designed to simplify the development of complex applications. It provides a set of reusable UI components, services, and tools that can be easily integrated into your Angular projects.

Installation

To install DagNgx, you can use npm:

npm install dag-ngx

Usage

After installing DagNgx, you can import the desired components and services into your Angular modules. For example, to use a component:

...
import { DagError } from 'dag-ngx';
...

@Component({
    ...,
    imports: [..., DagError],
    ...
})
export class YourComponent {
  ...
}

Features

DagError

A component for displaying error messages in a user-friendly manner when used with Angular signal forms. It can be used to show validation errors, server errors, or any other type of error that may occur in your form.

    <form novalidate (submit)="onSubmit($event)">
        <div>
            <label>email</label>
            <input type="email" [formField]="form.email" />
            <dag-error [field]="form.email"></dag-error>
        </div>
        <div>
            <button type="submit" class="btn">Submit</button>
        </div>
    </form>

DagDrag and DagDrop

Directives for implementing drag-and-drop functionality in your Angular applications. They allow you to easily make elements draggable and define drop zones where draggable items can be dropped.

    <div id="dragme">
        <h5>drag a object</h5>
        <div id="cards">
            @for (obj of items; track obj.name) {
                <span class="semen">
                    <img [src]="obj.src" [dagDrag]="obj" (onDrag)="isDragging($event)" />
                </span>
            }
        </div>
    </div>
    <div id="dropme" (dagDrop)="setObject($event)">
        <h5>drop here</h5>
        @if (object()) {
            <span class="semen">
                <img [src]="object().src" />
            </span>
        }
    </div>

Use [dagDrag] to make an element draggable and bind it to the data you want to transfer during the drag operation. Use (dagDrop) to define a drop zone and handle the dropped data.

Use (onDrag) to listen for dragging events and update your component state accordingly. it returns a boolean indicating whether the element is currently being dragged.

DagLoader

A collection of loading spinner components that can be used to indicate loading states in your Angular applications. DagLoader includes various spinner styles, such as pulsing and bouncing loaders, which can be easily customized and integrated into your application.

    <div *dagLoader="loading(); color: '#e4b2b2'; fullScreen: false; type: 'bouncing'">
        <p>...it's not a moon it's a space station...</p>
    </div>
