Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

MCP server for the Infineon Design System (DDS)

Readme

Infineon Design System MCP Server

MCP server for the Infineon Design System (DDS). Provides AI assistants with intelligent access to component documentation, usage examples, and design system foundations.

What makes this special: The AI automatically recognizes when you need design system components and suggests the right Infineon components with proper usage patterns.

Installation & Setup

Install as a dev dependency in your project:

pnpm add -D @infineon/design-system-mcp

Run the setup command from your project root:

npx dds-mcp setup

This will create .vscode/mcp.json with the DDS MCP server configuration. Restart VS Code or GitHub Copilot to activate.

Benefits:

  • Version matches your DDS package
  • Team shares same setup via git
  • No global installation conflicts

Manual Configuration

If you prefer manual setup, create .vscode/mcp.json:

{
  "servers": {
    "design-system": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["--no", "@infineon/design-system-mcp"]
    }
  }
}

Usage Examples

Once configured, your AI assistant will automatically recognize when to use Infineon Design System components:

Example 1: Adding a button

👤 User: "Add a primary button that submits the form"

🤖 Assistant: [Calls infineon_get_component_docs with component="ifx-button"]

Here's the Infineon button component:

```tsx
import { IfxButton } from '@infineon/infineon-design-system-react';
<IfxButton variant="primary" type="submit">
  Submit Form
</IfxButton>
**Example 2: Browsing components**
👤 User: "What input components are available?"
🤖 Assistant: [Calls infineon_list_components with framework="react"]
Here are the available Infineon input components:
  • ifx-text-field
  • ifx-select
  • ifx-checkbox
  • ifx-radio-button ...
**Example 3: Design tokens**
👤 User: "What spacing values should I use?"
🤖 Assistant: [Calls infineon_get_foundation_docs with story="foundations/spacing"]
Infineon Design System spacing scale:
  • xs: 4px
  • sm: 8px
  • md: 16px ...
### Natural Language Triggers
The AI will automatically use these tools when you mention:
- **Components**: "add a button", "create an input field", "infineon card component"
- **Styling**: "what colors should I use?", "spacing guidelines", "typography scale"
- **Setup**: "how do I install DDS?", "getting started with infineon design system"
- **Discovery**: "list all components", "what UI elements are available?"
