Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Nextra component pack

Install the alpha

corepack pnpm add @inkeep/open-knowledge-components-nextra@alpha

In an OpenKnowledge Desktop build with component-pack support, add node_modules/@inkeep/open-knowledge-components-nextra in Settings → This project → Integrations → Components, then trust and enable it. The npm package includes its styles and needs no local build.

Using the pack

The component gallery shows every export in this pack. See the pack overview for all packages and the Changesets release workflow.

This example exports Callout, Tabs, and Tabs.Tab through one mdx-components.tsx file. In OpenKnowledge Desktop, open Settings → This project → Integrations → Components. Select this folder. Enable the pack for the current project. If the entry file changes, OpenKnowledge reloads the project.

The default Tabs insertion contains one empty panel. To edit tabs:

  1. Rename the tab in the child Properties panel.
  2. Edit its body directly in the visual editor.
  3. Add tabs from the parent Properties panel.

A prop is an input to a component. When it displays tabs, OpenKnowledge builds the required Nextra items prop from the child labels. The saved MDX keeps the panel body as editable document content. It does not store that content in a JSON prop.

The pack uses the original Nextra stylesheet. The editor.css file restores Nextra’s light and dark tab colors and removes extra margins added by editable content. These adjustments apply only inside Nextra components.
