The Intempt plugin for Claude Code — nine skills over the Intempt CLI and the Intempt MCP server, for analytics instrumentation and platform operations.

⚠️ Do not npm install this package by hand. Claude Code fetches and unpacks it for you; installing it yourself just puts files in node_modules and nothing runs. Use the two commands below instead.

What executes: one file, hooks/cleanup-legacy-skills.mjs, registered as a SessionStart hook. It removes duplicate copies of these same nine skills from ~/.claude/skills/ when an older npm install -g intempt-mcp-server left them there. It deletes a file only when its sha256 matches a copy we published — anything edited locally is preserved and reported, never deleted — and it never blocks a session.

Install

In Claude Code:

The first command registers the public marketplace; the second pulls this package from npm and installs the plugin. Then restart Claude Code.

The plugin also registers the @intempt-technologies/mcp MCP server, which is what the skills call. It serves a focused default tool surface; set INTEMPT_MCP_TOOLS to widen it.

Logging in

The MCP server is unauthenticated until you log in. Ask Claude to log in to Intempt, or call the login tool. whoami reports the active organization and project; use_project switches it.

Scope

⚠️ Claude Code plugins are a Claude Code feature. They do not exist in Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Desktop, or the claude.ai app. Those clients consume the MCP server directly -- add it to that client's own MCP config rather than installing it globally:

Cursor writes this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, Claude Desktop to its claude_desktop_config.json. A global npm install -g also works, but its postinstall writes the nine skills into ~/.claude/skills/ and overwrites same-named files there, so the config block above is the safer default.
