Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@ippopone/loanpilot

Official TypeScript/JavaScript SDK for the LoanPilot API — bank-statement analysis and configurable credit decisioning.

npm install @ippopone/loanpilot

Quick start

import { LoanPilot } from '@ippopone/loanpilot'
import fs from 'node:fs'

const lp = new LoanPilot({ apiKey: process.env.LOANPILOT_API_KEY! })

// upload a statement and wait for the decision
const created = await lp.analyses.create({
  file: fs.readFileSync('statement.pdf'),
  fileName: 'statement.pdf',
  productId: 'optional-loan-product-id',
  inputs: { requested_amount: 500000, collateral_value: 700000 }, // for LTV, etc.
})

const analysis = await lp.analyses.waitFor(created.id)
console.log(analysis.decision, analysis.score)
console.log(analysis.result) // full report: scorecard, obligations, bureau, scenarios…

Auth

Server-to-server: create a key in the app under Settings → API keys and pass it as apiKey.

Mobile / per-user: sign the user in and reuse the returned token (never ship a static key in an app):

const { token, client } = await LoanPilot.login({ email, password })
// store `token` securely; next launch: new LoanPilot({ apiKey: token })
await client.logout() // revoke on sign-out

Requests are authenticated with Authorization: Bearer <token> and scoped to your team.

API

const lp = new LoanPilot({
  apiKey,
  baseUrl: 'https://api.ippo.one/v1', // default
  timeoutMs: 60000,
  maxRetries: 2,                      // retries 429/5xx with backoff
  fetch: customFetch,                 // optional
})

await lp.me()
await lp.analyses.list({ limit, offset, status, decision })
await lp.analyses.create({ file, fileName, password?, productId?, applicant?, inputs? })
await lp.analyses.get(id, { includeResult: true })
await lp.analyses.waitFor(id, { pollMs, timeoutMs, onPoll })
await lp.products.list()

Errors throw LoanPilotError with status, code and detail.

Runtimes

Works in Node 18+ and modern browsers (uses global fetch/FormData/Blob). In the browser, never ship a lp_live_ key to untrusted clients — call the API from your server.
