Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

MCP client for Cloud Recorder: a URL plus what you want shown becomes a shareable 4K/60 product video.

Cloud Recorder

Give it a URL and what you want shown. Get back a shareable 4K/60 video of that web flow. No local browser, no DOM knowledge, no infra on your side.

This package is the MCP client. The recorder itself runs as a service — your machine never launches Chromium.

Install

npx @irfanaziz/cloud-recorder install --key sk_live_YOUR_KEY

That installs the skill (so your agent knows how to drive a recording) and registers the MCP server in ~/.claude.json. Your existing MCP servers are kept and a .backup is written first. Restart your client afterwards.

Cursor and Codex use different config paths — see skill.md for the block to paste there.

Using it

Just ask, in normal language:

Record linear.app — open Pricing and hover the Business plan.

Record our signup: click Sign up, fill in a demo email, submit, and wait for the confirmation.

Your agent reads the installed skill and drives it.

The short version: drive the page yourself with rehearse_start / rehearse_step / rehearse_commit, targeting @eN refs from the snapshot each step returns. You see the result of every step before choosing the next, so nothing is guessed. rehearse_commit returns a jobId; poll get_job until status is done, then hand over shareUrl.

For a simple single-page flow you can skip the loop and send record_flow { url, goal } instead.

Tools

rehearse_start · rehearse_step · rehearse_commit · rehearse_cancel · record_flow · get_job · list_jobs · cancel_job · get_share

Notes

A recording takes a few minutes — it is captured frame by frame at 4K/60 and then polished. Treat jobId as the receipt and poll; do not start a second job for the same request.
