Overview

The Find Active Host pre-build enables users of Itential Automation Platform to identify hosts in which a device status is online.

Installation Prerequisites

Users must satisfy the following pre-requisites:

• Itential Automation Platform
  • ^2023.1

Requirements

This Pre-Built requires the following:

• NSO Adapter

  or

• Automation Gateway Adapter

How to Install

To install the Pre-Built:

• Verify you are running a supported version of the Itential Automation Platform (IAP) as listed above in the Requirements section in order to install the Pre-Built.
• The Pre-Built can be installed from within App-Admin_Essential. Simply search for the name of your desired Pre-Built and click the install button (as shown below).

How to Run

Use the following to run the Pre-Built:

Child Job

1. From the workflow canvas, select childJob task from the WorkFlowEngine.
2. Search for and select "Find Active Host" in the worflow field.
3. Input the formData and click save.

or

Operations Manager

1. This pre-built may be manually run from Operations Manager by selecting the "Find Active Host" from the automations menu and selecting run, and choosing the existing manual trigger.
2. Fill out the form by providing an optional job description, selection a device from the drop down menu, and check the boxes NSO or IAG to filter by device type.
3. Then click run to start the Find Active Host job.
