Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

ITI React Component Library

This repository contains the ITI React component library — a small collection of reusable React + TypeScript components packaged for use in other projects.

The library is built with Vite and TypeScript and is intended to provide consistent UI building blocks for ITI applications.

Install

Install the published package into your application (example package name used here — replace with the actual package name if different):

npm install @itireact/react-components
# or
yarn add @itireact/react-components

Basic usage

Import the components you need and use them in your React app:

import React from "react";
import { PrimaryButton, BasicCard } from "@itireact/react-components";

export default function Example() {
  return (
    <div>
      <BasicCard title="Welcome">
        <p>This is an example card from the ITI component library.</p>
        <PrimaryButton onClick={() => alert("Clicked")}>Click me</PrimaryButton>
      </BasicCard>
    </div>
  );
}

Available components

The library exposes a small set of UI primitives (see src/components for source):

  • Buttons
    • PrimaryButton
    • OutlineButton
  • Cards
    • BasicCard
    • ImageCard
  • Navigation
    • BasicNavbar
    • GradientNavbar
    • SideNavbar
  • Footers
    • BasicFooter

If you add or change components, update this list accordingly.

Development

Run and iterate locally using the scripts in package.json.

Install dependencies:

npm install

Start the dev server (local example/demo app):

npm run dev

Build the library for production:

npm run build

Publish the library (project already includes a publish-library.sh script in scripts/):

npm run publish:lib

Contributing

Contributions are welcome. Please follow these simple steps:

  1. Fork the repo.
  2. Create a feature branch.
  3. Add or update components and tests.
  4. Run the build and make sure the demo app works.
  5. Open a PR with a clear summary of changes.

License

Specify the project license here (e.g. MIT). If you need a different license, update LICENSE accordingly.

If you want, I can also add a short example project in examples/ or update the package.json homepage/repository fields. Tell me what else you'd like to include.
