Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Saddle Creek: The Part of Omaha that Matters to Me

A librarization of the part of Google's Project Omaha that I want to use at work.

Google's Project Omaha was its open-sourcing of its update framework.

The thing I need at work is the ability to add and consume out-of-band metadata on PE binaries for Windows that can be added without requiring us to re-sign the binary.

The Name

I am an elder millennial, and in the early 2000s pretty much every band I like was signed to Saddle Creek Records, out of Omaha. Rilo Kiley sings the line we'll go to Omaha to work and exploit the booming music scene which is the quote the enters my mind any time someone mentions that city.
