Jaypie MCP 🐦‍⬛

Model Context Protocol server for Jaypie.

Streamable HTTP on Lambda (no MCP SDK)

mcpHttpHandler answers JSON or server-sent events by Accept header, 202 for notifications, and 405 for GET and DELETE. Pass suite to serve any fabric ServiceSuite. Lifecycle options (secrets, setup, validate, ...) pass through to expressHandler. Requires @jaypie/express and @jaypie/logger (optional peers, included in jaypie).

Bundling

A bundler (esbuild) leaves out the markdown that skill and release_notes read. Copy it beside the bundle at build time:

MCP_BUILTIN_SKILLS_PATH and MCP_RELEASE_NOTES_PATH point at other locations.

getMcpBuildInfo returns the version and commit of the build that packed the markdown:

commit is empty when PROJECT_COMMIT was unset at build time. Unbuilt source returns version 0.0.0.

Filtering Tools

createMcpServer, mcpExpressHandler, and mcpHttpHandler accept services, an allowlist of tool names:
