Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

@jigsaw-ds/theme-build

Style Dictionary build helpers used by the Jigsaw theme packages (@jigsaw-ds/theme-default, @jigsaw-ds/theme-portfolio) and @jigsaw-ds/tokens.

This is a build-time helper for authoring custom themes. Most applications consuming Jigsaw do not need it — they import the pre-built CSS from the theme packages instead.

This package is versioned in lockstep with the other publishable Jigsaw packages (@jigsaw-ds/design-system, @jigsaw-ds/tokens, @jigsaw-ds/theme-default, and @jigsaw-ds/theme-portfolio).

Install

npm install -D @jigsaw-ds/theme-build style-dictionary

style-dictionary (v4) is a peer dependency you provide.

Usage

import { buildStyleDictionary, toRgbTuple } from "@jigsaw-ds/theme-build";

These helpers configure the CSS-variable platform, themed-variable output, and color transforms used to generate theme CSS from token sources.

What ships

This package publishes plain ESM source (src/*.mjs) — there is no compile step. That is intentional: the modules are small build-time helpers consumed by Style Dictionary configs, not runtime app code. Install as a dev dependency alongside style-dictionary.
