lite-fs

A simple fs-like API wrapper of IndexedDB for light application usage.

[!WARNING] This library is currently work-in-progress, and it's for personal use.

Installation

pnpm i @jiminp/lite-fs

Usage

import { LiteFS } from "@jiminp/lite-fs";

// Write a text file
const fs = new LiteFS('my-app-fs');
await fs.writeFile("/hello.txt", "Hello, world!");

// Read as string
const text = await fs.readFile("/hello.txt", 'utf-8');
console.log(text); // "Hello, world!"

Path Rules

• All paths must be absolute (start with /).
• Folder paths end with /, file paths do not.
• Empty segments (//) are not allowed.
• . and .. segments are not allowed in paths.

For handling relative paths, use joinPath exported by this library.
