Hydrafetch
A modern, cross-platform system information fetching tool inspired by neofetch and fastfetch. Built with Node.js/TypeScript for maximum compatibility across macOS, Linux, and Windows.

Installation
Quick Install (Recommended)
Run once with npx, then use the built-in installer:
npx @joddabod5scripts/hydrafetch@latest --installThis will globally install the latest version to your system.
Manual Installation
npm install -g @joddabod5scripts/hydrafetch@latestRun Without Installing
npx @joddabod5scripts/hydrafetch@latestUsage
First Run
On first execution, you'll be guided through an interactive configuration wizard:
- Choose Layout - Classic (side-by-side) or Minimal (top-down)
- Select Color Theme - Default Cyan, Catppuccin, Dracula, or Monochrome
- Toggle Stats - Show/hide specific system information
Commands
# Run hydrafetch
hydrafetch
# Install globally (if running via npx)
npx @joddabod5scripts/hydrafetch@latest --install
# Reconfigure settings
hydrafetch --config
# Reset to defaults
hydrafetch --resetSystem Information Displayed
- OS: Distribution, release, architecture
- Host: Device manufacturer and model
- Kernel: Kernel version
- Uptime: System uptime (formatted)
- Shell: Current shell (bash, zsh, fish, etc.)
- Resolution: Display resolution
- DE: Desktop Environment
- WM: Window Manager
- Terminal: Terminal emulator
- CPU: Processor model, cores, speed
- GPU: Graphics card model
- Memory: RAM usage with visual bar
Configuration
Configuration is stored in:
- Linux/macOS:
~/.config/hydrafetch/config.json - Windows:
%APPDATA%\hydrafetch\config.json
Development
# Clone repository
git clone <repository-url>
