Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

@jupiter-lab/react

v1.0.27

Published

A CLI for installing React, Next.js and MUI components from the Jupiter Lab registry.

Readme

@jupiter-lab/react (Next.js + MUI)

npm version npm downloads license

A lightweight, reusable React components for Next.js + Material UI (MUI) projects.

Installation

npm install -D @jupiter-lab/react

Add Components

Use the Jupiter Lab CLI to add components to your project:

npx @jupiter-lab/react add <component>

Example:

npx @jupiter-lab/react add flex
npx @jupiter-lab/react add custom-link

The CLI downloads the selected component and adds it directly to your project.

TypeScript & JavaScript

You can specify the language when adding a component.

TypeScript:

npx @jupiter-lab/react add <component> --tsx

JavaScript:

npx @jupiter-lab/react add <component> --jsx

The CLI downloads the selected component and adds it directly to your project.

If no language is specified, Jupiter Lab automatically detects your project's language and adds the appropriate version.

Custom Link

After adding custom-link, import and use it in your Next.js application:

import CustomLink from "./components/ui/custom-link";

export default function App() {
    return (
        <CustomLink href="/home">
            Home
        </CustomLink>
    );
};

Customization

CustomLink supports standard MUI Button props along with additional active-state styling options.

Active Style

Use activeSx to customize the appearance when the current route is active:

<CustomLink
    href="/home"
    activeSx={{
        color: "#5400ee",
        fontWeight: 700,
    }}
>
    Home
</CustomLink>

Active Class

Use activeClass to apply a CSS class when the link is active:

<CustomLink
    href="/home"
    activeClass="active-link"
>
    Home
</CustomLink>

CSS:

.active-link {
    color: #5400ee;
    font-weight: 700;
    text-decoration: underline;
}

MUI Props

You can also use standard MUI Button props:

    <CustomLink
        href="/home"
        variant="contained"
        color="primary"
    >
        Home
    </CustomLink>

CustomLink automatically detects the current route and applies activeSx or activeClass when the link matches the current pathname.

Flex

A simple responsive flex container built on top of MUI Stack.

Usage

import Flex from './components/ui/flex';

export default function App () {
    return (
        <Flex
            align="center"
            justify="space-between"
            gap={2}
        >
            <div>Left</div>
            <div>Right</div>
        </Flex>
    );
};

Props

| Prop | Description | Default | |---|---|---| | direction | Flex direction | row | | display | CSS display value | — | | align | align-items value | — | | justify | justify-content value | — | | gap | Gap between children | — | | flexWrap | Flex wrapping | — | | sx | MUI styling | — | | ...props | All standard MUI Stack props | — |
